CLARION EVENTS WEST AFRICA LAUNCHES 2nd EDITION OF MULTIMODAL WEST AFRICA WITH A COCKTAIL EVENT

It was an exciting evening of fun and glitz as Clarion Events West Africa Launches the second edition of Multimodal West Africa. The event which held at Golfview Hotel, G.R.A Ikeja had key stakeholders in the logistics and transportation industry in attendance.

 

Multimodal West Africa is an international, transportation, logistics and supply chain management exhibition, designed and targeted to engage all major stakeholders in the industry across all the sub-sectors and the value-chain. The platform is provided for players in both public and private sectors to actively engage and proffer strategic solutions to buffer the current challenges currently being experienced at the event.

 

This year, the 3-day event will kick off from Tuesday, 23rd-25th January at the Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, with over 100 local and international exhibitors and over 1,000 confirmed attendees. Participants through the specialised conferences will be exposed to latest trends and business investment opportunities available within the industry as industry experts will be sharing first- hand information crucial to thrive within the industry. It is an exhibition that has left most industry stakeholders excited, as they believe it will adequately reposition the Transportation and Logistics sector, which used to be noted for its huge contribution to the nation’s economy but has struggled to retain its position as a result of economic downturn.

 

Speaking at the event, Alhaji Ibrahim Jibril, President, Chattered Institute of Transport and Logistics, revealed that Multimodal West Africa is a brilliant initiative of Clarion Events as it will further provide support in addition to Government’s effort to revamp the industry.  In his words, he encouraged everyone to take advantage of the diverse opportunities the event presents.

 

Also speaking at the event, Ms Jadesola Ogundiminegha, Event Manager, Multimodal West Africa, identified that the event aims to increase port and terminal activities increase number of non-oil exporters to broaden the nation’s economic base, reduce clearance times, improve intermodal options & facilities at ports to promote patronage, reorient in line with new economic diversification policy, explore dedicated ports for exports and provide more efficient supply chain solutions.
